A restaurant that I highly recommend is Les Petites Canailles, Paso Robles, where we had our last dinner of the trip. — Owned and operated by Courtney & Julien Asseo. “Les Petites Canailles” translates to “The Little Rascals” in French, and is named after their three children. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where casual attire is the norm. Chef Julien Asseo is the son of Stephen Asseo, winemaker and founder of L’Aventure.
The wine list is extensive, focusing on wines from the Paso Robles region and, of course, the family’s own L’Aventure Winery. There is also a small bar that offers a selection of wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- LP Caesar Salad
- Spanish Octopus
- Steak au Poivre & Homemade Frites
- “Joel Robuchon” Pomme Puree
- Iberico de Bellota “Pluma”
We ended the dinner with a Mousse au Chocolat dessert and candle #3 for Maita to make another wish! This is the perfect place for dinner after a nice tasting and tour at L’Aventure Winery, or lunch right before.
